Using synology contacts but default account doesn't show up

I'm using synology contacts to store all my contacts. I have 3 accounts on the synology. In the beginning the default contacts selection box was available, but now it's not showing up anymore. So I cannot change where the iphone stores the new contacts. Can someone help me with this one? Because my kids now have an iphone as well and also there the iphone doesn't show the default app and stores all the new contacts in the icloud, but they should be stored on the synology as well. So any help to solve this would be appreciated.

iPhone 12, iOS 18

Because you say you are using Synology to store your contacts and Apple doesn't own them or have anything to do with them. If you were saving your contacts to iCloud that would be different, but evidently you aren't. Most of us have never heard of Synology. So expecting users on a user to user only forum to know much if anything about Synology isn't likely going to happen. Contacts on iPhone are typically tied to an email account. But I don't know anything about Synology or whether it's an email account or what it is actually?

FYI: The OP is presumably running a Synology NAS.

Contacts is an app which runs inside the NAS’ OS (aka DSM) environment.

Doesn’t really change the thread’s “answer” though, unless there’s a lucky “hit” upon a fellow community member proficient on the same app.

Hence why I suggested they contact Synology for help with their app and/or service.

Good morning

I see I wasn’t clear. The Synology contacts provides a carddav wat of sharing your contacts. So I connected my iphone using carddav. And that’s why I contacted the apple community. Because I think it’s a carddav related issue. I have 3 carddav accounts connected and then the dropdown box for the default account doesn’t show up. I guess would be that it’s related to the carddav option in the iphone. Maybe it’s another version ( because when I connect using cardbook, a plugin for thunderbird it states carddav version 3). I’m not sure what IOs is supporting. But I will contact the Synology community as well. Many thanks.

Then contact either Synology or CardDav. CardDav is also not associated with Apple at all. I'm not sure why you think Apple users will know much, if anything about Synology or CardDav?
