This app is no longer shared with you (pop-up)

Until last year I had been in a family sharing group, the organizer had shared Procreate (A paid app) with me. Last year I left the family sharing group and obviously had lost access to the app. While I wasn’t in the family sharing group I had changed by Apple ID phone number and added an email.

I then rejoined the family sharing group (With the same Apple ID), and when trying to open Procreate I was met with the same pop-up I faced while not in the family sharing group:

“This app is no longer shared with you”

Before resorting to support, I asked AI and noticed that:

  • I can’t see my family member’s purchases on the App Store.

When selecting my App Store account and clicking on apps, I am not offered to select which Apple account’s downloads I want to view, it directs me straight to my own downloads.

Note: all of the members have purchase sharing turned ON and my App Store account coincides with my family sharing account.

  • My iPad is not fully updated.

My iPad has IOS 16 in 2025 (Yes, I know, I’m working on my storage!), but it shouldn’t be an issue as I believe that family purchase sharing is compatible with all IOS devices with IOS 15 and above. If it were a software issue I wouldn’t have had received the anteriorly-stated pop-up.
