Question

Unable to accept iCloud Terms & Conditions on my iPhone 5

iPhone 5 running iOS 15 keeps saying I have to accept new iCloud Term & Conditions to use iCloud on the phone.

When I click Continue I get a spinning daisy wheel until the wheel finally disappears but nothing has changed and I have to actually close out the window to get back into Settings.

I have tried turning the phone off and on twice, but no luck.

I cannot update to a higher iOS, but from what I can see anything above 10 should be ok.

I signed into iCloud.com via web browser, but I do not get any notification on the site that I need to accept T&C - and I can’t find where T&C are to see if there is a place to accept.

Any help is appreciated!

The iPhone 5, as you probably realize, was released by Apple nearly thirteen years ago. The latest iOS version it can use is 10.3.4 from about eight years ago.

Here’s the article that addresses your issue. It suggests updating iOS, which you cannot do beyond iOS 10. So I think this means you’re stuck. Try “Need more help?” at the bottom of the article.
