iPhone 16 pro max keeps playing text tone when put on MagSafe charger

For me, it was not the phone.

It was the charger.

A replacement charger instantly solved the problem.

Try an alternative method to charge...(?)

unplug the charger unit/adapter from the wall and unplug all cables as well for 60 sec to reset, and plug it back in.
