My local bank mailed a cashiers check to Apple Card and an employee there deposited that cashiers check to another account and not mine. I am waiting on them to resolve this. A bunch of thieves. Don’t ever open an Apple credit card.
You may share a name, they may have keyed in the information incorrectly, etc. It's unlikely to be a scam nor theft. It may take quite some time to clear up.
Checks are non conforming payments. There is always some risk that the check would be lost, mishandled, or never received. You’ll need to contact Goldman Sachs for resolution.
I did already. A Goldman Sachs employee stole my check and posted it to someone else’s account, or even their own. Who knows at this point. But it was someone there who opened my check, stamped it, and deposited it to another account which I have no idea how that works given that it has my name on it.
It’s a smaller credit union in my town, so unfortunately they had to mail a cashiers check. They’ve been really helpful in being in contact with me as well as they said this has NEVER happened before. It’s just frustrating but I do hope it gets figured out soon.
Why didn’t your bank send it electronically, the way the vast majority of interbank transfers are done?
