Why doesn’t the Find My app automatically refresh for live tracking?

When using the Find My app, it only gives the immediate location and does not automatically update to follow a device that is in motion.

I use the xFI locator app on my old android phone and it does do live tracking of our Apple devices. The only time Find My will live update is if I open the xFI app on my android. Then it will live track until I close the other app.

How can I get Find My to automatically refresh and follow a moving device?
