Apple TV error ACF-9000

Hello,


I've recently moved into an apartment from my work with an Apple TV from a previous occupant. When I turn the TV on, I see "We're sorry, something didn't work quite right. Please try again later. Reference Code: ACF-9000" and a button that says "Retry". I'm unable to do any action besides muting/changing the volume and shutting off the TV; trying to go to the home doesn't do anything and neither does the back button or select.

ACF-9000

This is about the communication between the Spectrum TV app and the remote Spectrum servers.

Please consult with Spectrum Support if this issue persists.

If you are not a current Spectrum TV subscriber, then that may be the issue.


  1. Verify that the Apple TV system software is up-to-date (tvOS 18.5 at this time).
  2. Try force-quitting the misbehaving app. Then re-launch, and try again.
  3. Try deleting the misbehaving app. Then re-download, re-launch, and try again.
  4. Contact Spectrum Support for further assistance.
