I am trying to find a way to delete over 2500 e-mails from a mailbox on an iphone 14 with ios 18.5 all at once.
Can this be done or do I have to do it select each one at a time?

I don't know why that is not appearing. Do you still intend on using that mail account, or do you just want to get rid of it since you are clearing the Inbox? You can usually log into your email provider's website in a computer browser to access your mail and there it is much easier to select the entire inbox and delete the mail from there.
Are you referring to your Inbox or another folder. You can select the account Inbox, go to Select in the upper right corner of the screen, the Select All in the upper left corner of the screen, then Trash at the bottom right corner of the screen.
That is what I thought should happen but there is no Select All in the upper left in the Inbox. There is a Select All in the Sent and Trash folders.
I have a iphone 16 and it has the Select All in all folders.
If it appears in the iPhone 16, which it appears in my iPhone 16 Pro Max, I remember it being in other versions as well. If the iPhone 14 is on iOS 18.5, it should be there too. Try restarting the phone and see if that helps.
I went to the provider's website and cleared several hundred e-mails from there, but they are still in the phone.
I plan to keep the phone, just trying to clean up the folders. It is my wife's phone and she never seems to delete any e-mails
If you cleared mail from the website and they are still on the phone, that sounds like you have a POP mail account. With an IMAP account, the mail is synced from the server, and when you make changes on the server, it is synced on the phone. I would check with the provider to see if they offer IMAP mail service. It is much easier to manage.
Given this information, it would appear you will need to do the deletions on the phone itself right now. I still don't understand why the select all command does not appear in your Inbox when you tap the select button.
I tried restarting (twice) and it did not help. Thanks for your reply, guess I will just keep doing them one at a time.
Checked my service and it is IMAP. Will check further to make sure all preferences are as I want them so I don't have to do that again. Thanks for your help.
