2015 MacBook Pro freezes on Lock Screen and mouse scrolling issue

After hour of not using MacBook it goes to the Lock Screen and mouse is frozen in the left corner not moving. I’ll reset it many times and once it finally work it the cursor doesn’t scroll up or down

I suppose you know about pressing and holding the power button to force your mac to shut down.


Are you saying that after doing that, the problem recurs?


There could be an issue with the trackpad - possibly due to the battery, which sits right underneath it.

Try attaching a usb mouse as a test. Does the mouse work when the trackpad doesn't?

If it does then the issue is the trackpad.
