I have a question on a piece of a larger tapestry that I cannot resolve. Even after 19 months of a targeted attack that compromised my entire digital life, now that it’s under control , understood and lots of Good guys working 24/7 to get it to a manageable intrusion and detection . I want to cherry pick the cloud activities that are possible, I use the toggle to turn off what I don’t want to use , but the storage is so limited that photos alone fill it. When I cannot upgrade to IC + as it has multiple vulnerabilities that we identified and provided to apple, and the access points IC+ creates are still a problem for me ( I am a rare case ) for most probably not a concern . Can I get addition cloud space without upgrading to iC+ , even the $1.99 added the all the protocols , does anyone know a work around? I would like it to be under just one user name, tried 2 , one for photos , I tried forwarding all the mail and deleting the originals it still gets so full that it stops . I prefer not to use Ic drive, just a larger cloud. ( btw: I work with some of the best cyber people I be the country , they don’t have the answer and prefer me not to use it at all, so no need to copy past that apple can’t be compromised) if you don’t have a solution, I understand. Not looking for opinions on anything outside the scope of the question.

Since it is not possible to purchase more Apple storage without upgrading to the iCloud+ infrastructure, the most effective workaround is to strategically decouple your data. This involves using the free 5GB iCloud plan exclusively for essential, low-data functions like Contacts and Calendars, while actively disabling storage-intensive features such as iCloud Photos, Mail, and Drive in your device settings.

To manage your data, you would then offload all photos, videos, and files to a secure third-party cloud provider, utilizing their dedicated app for automatic camera backups. Similarly, migrating to an email address on a separate secure service will reclaim your mail storage.

This approach allows you to maintain core Apple ID functions while placing your high-volume data in a different ecosystem that meets your security requirements.
