Tried to factory reset MacBook Pro; won’t turn on
I have been going through trying to figure out how to factory reset my 15,1 MacBook pro all day, i’ve formatted the drive and went through internet recovery and have done everything i could to get everything to factory settings, but its still showing my iCloud account with find my mac in the first time setup, so it has something to do with the activation lock. After thinking i fixed it i reset it one last time, then midway through setup, right after i set my username and password, the computer restarts. I can access the account through recovery but not the desktop, the password only worked in recovery. Then it stopped showing the admin account in local or internet recovery (it gave me the window that said there wasn't an account on the drive) but in the toolbar on the top left it gave me the option to reset and wipe the device. I clicked that option, then the computer shut off and wont turn on or give any signs of life, no chime, no backlight, no touchbar, nothing. And every solution either says to turn on the computer (that I can’t do) or send it to apple. All I’ve been trying to do is just get it ready to sell second hand, i do not want to spend anything on getting this working
