Removing app download restrictions on Apple Account under Family Sharing plan

I am on under my moms family sharing account, and i just got a macbook for college. I need to download apps, but evertime i try to do so, it says I have to ask permission. Is there a way me and my mom can turn that feature off?


I am 18 years old, and I just bought myself a MacBook for college, but I am under my mom family sharing plan. This restricts me from downloading apps I need for school. is there a way me and my mom can change this feature?

The Organizer can turn off Ask to Buy by following the steps here:
