Apple Passwords app’s password generator is generating a password which is not accepted by 9 out of 10 websites I tried. It almost becomes useless to me. How to customise the new password generator by the app?
Every website I have used tells you the reason why a Password does not meet its requirements. What is the reason showing for you on your websites? Some websites require Special Characters, while others don't allow them, and you have the choice to create both types of Passwords. Depending on the reason given by the website, you can also edit the created password, but without knowing the reason, you would have know idea what needs to be changed in the password or what customizations are needed.
If you have an example website where it does not work, we can also investigate it further.

FYI, website developers can “encode” the site-specific password requirements, enabling the the OS’ password-generating features to produce “acceptable” passwords.
As to why most developers don’t take this extra step … 🤷🏼
