Deleting Safari bookmarks on MacBook Pro running Sequoia 15.5

I've searched online and through previous community discussions. But right-clicking on the bookmark I want to delete -- or using a two-finger click on right side of my pad -- does not bring up a delete option.

I've also tried using the Bookmarks tab, but again, clicking holding the control button brings up two commands (copy/sort) ; clearly, allow me to delete an unwanted bookmark.

Please help. Thanks!

I don't know why it's not working for you, but any number of otherwise useful system modifications / additions can intercept or modify contextual menu behavior.
