Is the low battery health on the Apple Watch Series 3 the reason why the sensors are not working?

Hi,

My Apple Watch Series 3 GPS (42mm) is no longer registering my heart rate. I’ve noticed that the green light stays on continuously.

The battery shows that it needs to be replaced. After running a diagnostic, Apple Support informed me that the sensors are not functioning and the battery is also in poor condition.

When I visited the service center, I was told that the sensor issue may be caused by the battery’s poor health.

My specific question is:

Will replacing the battery resolve the heart rate sensor issue?

Thank you.
