Transferring photos from iphone to macbook

How can I transfer all my photos on my iphone to my macbook at once? I also dont wamt duplicates. I tried airdrop but its freezing all the time. Is there amy way I can try? Thanks

AirDrop works great for me, but it's meant to be used for only a few pictures at a time.


The best method is to use iCloud Photos, but you can instead transfer pictures using a cable connecting the iPhone to a Mac. See this:

A faster method is connecting your iPhone to your MB with the phone's charging cable and launching Image Capture. With IC you can select any or all photos and videos and download to a folder on your Desktop. Then you can import them into your MB's Photos library.


If you have a lot of albums and keyword in your iPhone library that you want keep you'll need to use Richard.Taylord's iCloud Library method. You'll need to purchase enough iCloud storage space to house the library and it'll take longer to complete the sync.
