Removing workout data from Apple Watch and Health

I entered a Workout in error in Apple Health. I immediately deleted it from Health. The watch does not show the errant workout, but the errant data still spins up in the 3 circles on the Watch. How do I remove it?

My Apple each is still including the errant workout data in its daily totals.
