When I get a text, I would like it to show notification instead of the person who is texting me. I have an iPhone 16 Pro. When I adjust the setting under the notification setting, it will either show the name of person texting me or no notification at all.

That’s how I have it set up. I have it marked as “allow notifications”, show preview never and with the Lock Screen checked. That shows the person sending me a message but not the actual text message. If I uncheck the Lock Screen it will not show any notification. When I open my phone it will show I have a text. Not sure if it’s the phone I have or not. I had this phone a little over a year. And just tried to change the setting. I’m not having any luck.
Go to Settings>Notifications>Messages>Show Previews, turn that off.
