Will Rosetta 2 open applications on an intel iMac that is in target mode?

YES - Rosetta is on my M4 Mac Mini.

The iMac is a Core2 Duo.

I have to move the computer and want to save the hassle if it's not doable. I cannot install the software I need on the Mini - student version from when I was a student.
