Apple Pay refund request for undelivered Uber Eats order

Subject: Request for Refund – Undelivered Uber Eats Order Paid via Apple Pay

Hello,

I’m contacting you regarding a payment made via Apple Pay for an Uber Eats order that was never delivered.

Despite contacting Uber Eats customer service, I have not received any refund. The amount was charged to my account, but I never received the service I paid for.

Here are the transaction details:

Transaction date: 14/07/2025
Amount: €43.28
Merchant: Uber Eats

I kindly ask you to review this issue and let me know the steps I should take to request a refund through Apple Pay.

It is not possible to request a refund through Apple Pay. Using Apple Pay is to securely give the merchant a token provided by your bank of the card used so they do not have your actual account numbers. That prevents your account number from being exposed through a data breach or being sold on the dark web. That is the extent of the service offered by Apple Pay and the reason why you should be using it.

As for any purchase made with a merchant, the resolution is the same by first contacting the merchant and if not resolved, then dispute the charge with the card being billed. Any refund given does not go to Apple Pay, it goes directly to your card that was used.

Unfortunately, we’re only fellow users here w/o any access to your accounts.

Additionally and FYI, “Apple” is not involved in the actual execution (or refunding) of any ApplePay transactions.

For assistance re: refunds, you’ll need to first contact UberEats, and if you can’t obtain satisfaction …

… contact the issuer of the payment method which was used for payment from within ApplePay.
