How to stop Safari from opening old tabs?
Open safari, and it opens old tabs.

Check your settings.
Right there in Safari -> Settings -> General is the option 'Safari opens with:
Set it to whatever you prefer. If you don't want the previous windows/tabs to open, set it to 'A new window'.
