I’m unable to upload some photos and videos to My iCloud account

Hi. I have old videos, some of which were made with a Sony DSC-W170 and others - with my old iPhone 5. All of them were copied and saved on my different computers. These videos are of the following format:

MPG File (.MPG)

MOV File (.MOV)

MP4 File (.mp4)

I’m unable to upload them to my iCloud account. It says: only files in JPEG format can be uploaded.

Is there any way to upload MPG, MOV, and MP4 format videos on iCloud?

If not, is there any way to convert MPG, MOV, and MP4 videos to JPEG?

If you’re uploading using the web interface, only image files can upload. To sync movies, place them in the photos app. Some file types, such as mov, may not sync using photos but can be kept in iCloud Drive.

Only in the sense that you can take a still frame out of a movie, and convert that single frame into a photo in JPEG format. JPEG is not a format for storing movies.
