AAF Logic Pro project – playback issues

I know that many people are experiencing lots of issues with AAF import to Logic. Has anyone had playback issues with files subsequently added to the Logic project?

I'm working on a 2 hr film out of Resolve into Logic (11.2.1) via Protools, on an M3 Max.

The project has several thousand regions (most of which imported OK, though some entire tracks had corrupt in/out points).

Here's the weird issue: if I add new audio files to the project, they play back fine – until I restart Logic, at which point it forgets the waveform overviews and doesn't output any sound for those regions (meters are flat). The overviews can be forcibly refreshed, but I still get no sound from these regions – unless I copy the region into a new track (and then it works just as it should).

Anyone out there with similar issues?

Anyone at Apple willing to nudge AAF compatibility forward?
