FaceTime not working on my MacBook Pro with Sequoia 15.5

Help please.

M1 Max macbook pro

Sequoia 15.5

FaceTime loads - opens camera (green light shows) - app shows in menu bar- screen displays nothing

in menu bar - select anything from FaceTime menu - nothing displays

nothing displays - not About

not settings

If select the green camera icon in menu bar it opens small window

Clean version of 15.5 installed - no difference

With the FaceTime app open:

You might want to double-check whether clicking Window > Open in the top menu bar works for you
