How can I tell if my iPhone has pegasus or other spyware and block spam emails?

I've had one of the spam emails claiming that my phone has had Pegasus on it and they've been watching me. It's the usual 'hi pervert' spam. But this was sent from within my own email account. I know this as I blocked the sender as I do with all spam and noticed that I'd blocked myself.

I have 2FA and Authenticator app, so I'm concerned how this happened. Also, how do I check if there is Pegasus or similar on my phone?

You don’t need to check anything because you can’t anyway. Unless you yourself have intentionally removed all security protections on your devices or someone has had physical possession of your device you have nothing to worry about. All those spam emails are scams. The news media and social media have been hyping stuff like this to get people scared and hopefully buy useless anti-virus and anti-spyware.
