Macbook Air M1 2020 OS Sequoia dooesn't sleep when the lid is closed. Ichecked the battery settings, the lockscreen and the powernap option. But it didnt help.
How can I fix it?

Does the laptop sleep when you initiate sleep from the Apple menu?
When you do close the display clamshell lid, do you see the screen go dark as the display is nearly closed?
How do you know the laptop is not sleeping?
Have you tried rebooting the laptop to see if that makes any difference? Or boot into Safe Mode to see if closing the lid allows the laptop to sleep?
