'Find My' not showing up [Mac min M4]

I'm sorry for this question, as I do notice that it does seems to comes up rather often.

The issues is, is that I've setup a new Mac mini M4 [macOS 15.5] with all of the usual default 'Find My' setting, however everything that I attempt it refuses to show up. I have a number of other Apple devices, iPhone, iPad and a Mac mini M2 and have not encountered any issues, all successfully appear.

I have removed and added the Mac from my iCloud account a number of times, and changed the device name in the hope that this resolves the issue, but to no avail.

I have compared the configuration with my Mac mini M2 and both are identical, apart for one aspect, namely when I view the 'Devices Info' for my M4 is says that the Find My Mac is Off (System > user > Devices - select device) but this is just information only and cannot be changed.

I would be grateful for any advice on how this could be resolved.

Many thanks

Configuration:

System > Privacy & Security > Location Services

Location Services - Enabled

Find May - Enabled

System > iCloud > Saved to iCloud - 'on' (both Find My Mac, Find My network)

den.thed many thanks but already done, as far as I can see everything is setup correctly.

I've switched things off and on again, removed and added iCloud account, rebooted, etc. As mentioned, I have set this up on a number of devices without any issue, all devices [less than the 10 limit] can be seen on the list, just not my new M4 (clean setup from scratch).

Clearly as the Macs do not have any direct means to determine their location (GPS) and therefore require indirect determination (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth), is there something that I might have missed in this regard !

In addition, is there any 'under the bonnet' diagnostic checks that can be made.

Been pulling my hire out on this one.

There are numerous reports of Macs not showing up in Find My now, including myself. In each case the symptoms are the same. All Find My controls are set to ON, iCloud indicates that Find My is on for the Mac but when the user goes to Settings->Apple Account->Device Info it indicates that Find MY is OFF. Like the user here I went through all the settings toggling them off/on, restarted in Safe Mode, logged out of my Apple Account, etc.

Then a week ago, without any further action on my part, my Studio Max suddenly showed up again in the Find My app. This has lead me to suspect that there’s something goin on at Apple’s end. But who knows what evil lurks in the mind of software. The Shadow Knows (tip of the hat to an old radio pot boiler from the 30s).

Let’s see what happens when the next macOS update comes out (15.6).
