Does plugging and unplugging a MacBook every day affect it?

I just got a MacBook Air m4. I always use it connected to an external monitor with the lid open and plugged into the charger. Every morning, I plug in a hub to connect the monitor's HDMI port, and I also plug in the charger. At the end of the day, I do the opposite: unplug the hub and the charger, then close the lid and do the same the next day. Can doing this damage the battery? I use Aldente to only charge it to 80%, but every day I do the same thing: plug it in in the morning and unplug it at night. I've seen several answers about this, but I'm still not sure how best to do it.

There’s no reason to unplug it, nor is there a reason to use third-party software to control the charging. Modern versions of macOS effectively manage battery charging to extend the lifespan of the battery. If you leave it connected to power most of the time, it will pause charging at 80%.

Best way to use your Mac is to plug it in when it’s convenient, and run on battery when you are not near a power source. What you’re doing won’t hurt anything, but you’re wasting effort trying to manage something you don’t need to.
