How can I get Books — on the Mac, iPhone and iPad — to *NOT* show books in a series?

Currently if a book is part of a series, Books automatically shows all of the books in the series (or at least what it thinks are all of the books in the series) in the library view.

I hate it. If I want to search out the other books in a series I can do so, but showing them when I have just a book or two is just a transparent attempt to get me to spend more money.

There's also the fact that it screws up the series sometimes. For example, S. M. Stirling's Change series ends with The Sky-Blue Wolves, but that book isn't included with the rest of the series.

Personally, I want the ability to turn off the series view in my library. It's great in the bookstore, but not in the shelf of my books.
