Getting Apple Mobile Device Support to work on Windows 11!!!

I've installed Apple Mobile Device Support on a Windows 11 laptop. Whenever I click on "Open" I get this

I follow the directions to uninstall it through Windows system settings>Apps.

It disappears from the Apps list.

I reinstall it. Click "Open" and get the same response seen above.

Does anyone know the way out of this endless loop?
