How do I remove the remote management

Hello, I’m in a puddle and need help. I purchased a second hand IMac today, came home and tried starting it up and got stuck on a REMOTE MANAGEMENT SCREEN. Is there anyway to reset the iMac?

You do not remove the remote management. Only the organization (company, school district, etc.) that placed the computer under remote management can do that.

If this is a second-hand Mac and it is still under remote management, it was at the very least, improperly prepared for resale. It may even be stolen property that would not be good to have in your possession. If you can safely get the seller to fix the problem, or refund your money, you may want to do so. But all too often in these situations, once the seller has the money, they block the buyer or “disappear.”

🛑 Stop right there! ⚠️

You may not realize this, but remote management means that the computer was most likely stolen and there are two victims in this crime, the company that owns it and you.

You are at risk of being in possession of stolen property.

Turn it into the police and file a report because you have been scammed out of money.

Take care! 👋🏼😉
