OS upgrade Ventura, dual boot.

Hi all, I have an install of Ventura on a Macbook M1. I am going to upgrade to Sequoia. I would like to save my current install of Ventura, and install Sequoia on a separate volume. The question is, do I have to reinstall all my apps and settings on Sequoia, or is there another way to do this...like a data import feature? Or, could I do a clone of my current Ventura install to new volume on the internal disc and then upgrade that new volume to Sequoia?
