Running iOS 18.5 but genmoji feature is not shown in emojis

My software is up to date (iOS 18.5), but when I open the emojis on my messages app, the Genmoji option is not there. It works fine on my iPad Pro 12.9” which is running 18.5 as well. I tried signing out of my Apple ID and signing back in. Apple intelligence has no option in my settings to turn off or on, it’s just on. I have stickers enabled on my keyboard. So why is Genmoji missing and how do I fix this? Thanks!

Aside from running iOS 18.1 or later, there are some other requirements in order to use Apple Intelligence on your iPhone. First off to see if it’s installed on your device, does it show up in your Siri Settings? And sometimes if it doesn’t allow you to turn it on, there will be a message below with the reasoning. And do other Apple Intelligence-powered features work on your iPhone, such as Clean Up or Writing Tools?
