GoldmanSachs/Apple Fraud ecalations issue

How do you escalate with Apple and get anyone that has the ability to resolve a situation?

I have been trying to escalate a dispute of a fraudulent charge on my Apple card since 3/2024. Goldman Sachs points to Apple. Apple points to Goldman Sachs, but no one will help me. every three months they come back and said the purchase was verified as valid because it was placed and fulfilled through the apple store.

I have spoke to them at the store level provided them with a police report. They even had the detective speak with Apple loss prevention who was unable to give them any support. Ive followed up at the store level who states they are simply a reial hub and unable to do anythign to help me and reccomended i contact their customer escaltion team.

I called 800MyApple and finally spoke to someone in their escaltions team that says it's on Goldman and Apple wont do anything further. She was rude at stating based on her information I did make this order and unconcerned to make any attempt at helping me because The order was placed and fullfilled so the dispute is between myself and GS. She refused to help re refused to connect me with anyone else saying shes the end of the road.

Goldman comes back every time and says Apple verified it was a vaild purchase. or have come back and said I have not provided them enough proof that I didn't place the order. Never mind they were notified as soon as the order was placed that I didn't place the order and cancelled the card. A second order was attempted right after and declined since they were informed of the fraud.

Again this has been continuing for almost a year and a half.

If the bank has issued the approval code, the merchant must fulfill the order.

Your dispute is with Goldman Sachs Bank, issuer of the credit card. This isn’t an Apple matter. Going into an Apple Retail Store won’t help at all.

Your next step in the dispute process is to file a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). They are the government watchdog agency to assist consumers in these matters.

Contact the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau at 1-855-411-2372 or visit cfpb.gov/complaint.

CONTACTING — Goldman Sachs Bank

understood but the bank has an obligation to protect the consumer and Goldman and Apple are both passing the buck. They came out with the Apple Card with big dreams of how it protects consumers yet the bank doesn’t back it like any other credit card company I have. I’ve never had an issue with Amex disputing a charge. For Apple to stick their head in the sand and not do what they can to support that this was fraud is the main issue.

Don't inject your personal opinion in the complaint to CFPB. Your issue is with Goldman, not the merchant. Read the terms and conditions you agreed to when you opened the account. I linked to them in a prior post for your convenience.

Merchants will report the information they have in front of them. Your opinions cloud the issue and make winning your dispute more difficult. What other banks do or don’t do is immaterial to your complaint.

If you have a complaint about a credit card account, call the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau at 1-855-411-2372 or visit cfpb.gov/complaint.
