lost data when upgrading to Big Sur

Hi, I have recently (reluctantly) finally upgraded from Catalina to Big Sur. I did a time machine back up before doing it. When I check my backup I can't find any PAGES documents since 2022.

I asked Apple Support to help me but they said it was my fault and I must have deleted them and then they finally ended the call.

Can anybody help me please?

Thank you

Assuming you did not erase the drive when you upgraded from Catalina to Big Sur......if the documents are not on your boot drive & they are not within the Time Machine backup, then they must not have existed at the time of the upgrade & backup.

Have you had frequent & regular backups of this system since 2022? How far back does your TM backups go for any documents?

When was the last time you accessed those missing documents?
