How do I recover lost project in Final Cut Pro?

I was working on a project in Final Cut Pro. I decided to take a week off. When I came back and opened Final Cut Pro the project was nowhere to be seen. All the media were there, but my project was not in that timeline thing. Did I just hit the wrong button somewhere? Any help would be awesome. Thank you!

Hi (bonjour),

There is a search function in browser. If you know your project title, search for it or even just one word.

From FCP user manual:

  1. In the Libraries sidebar in Final Cut Pro, select a library or one or more events or folders you want to search.
  2. Click the Search button  at the top-right corner of the browser.
  3. In the search field, enter the text you want to search for.
  4. As you type, the search results update in the browser. By default, Final Cut Pro searches text in notes, clip and project names, and markers.
  5. If you want to search only notes, names, or markers, click the Search button at the left side of the search field and choose an option.

You can also open the smart collection, there is a project category.
