AppleCare+ not showing on MacBook coverage page after purchase from authorized store in India

Hello Apple Community,

I’m an Apple customer based in India, and I recently encountered something confusing regarding my AppleCare+ coverage.

I purchased a MacBook (M2, 256GB) on 5th November 2023 from iCrest, which is an authorized Apple reseller in India (invoice and tax details are available). Along with the MacBook, I also purchased a 3-year AppleCare+ plan worth ₹19,900—this plan is meant to extend protection beyond the default 1-year limited warranty.

Now, my 1-year standard warranty has expired, and I tried checking the AppleCare+ status by visiting checkcoverage.apple.com and entering my MacBook’s serial number. However, the website only shows that the coverage has expired and doesn’t reflect the AppleCare+ protection that I paid for.

So my questions are:

Could it be that the Apple Store forgot to register or activate the AppleCare+ plan against my serial number?

Is there a delayed activation process in some regions like India that could cause this?

Is it possible that the AppleCare+ plan was sold but never linked properly to my device on Apple’s systems?

I’d really appreciate some guidance on this. I do have the full invoice with both the MacBook and AppleCare+ plan clearly mentioned. If needed, I’m happy to upload proof or contact Apple Support, but I want to understand what might have gone wrong before proceeding further.

Thank you so much in advance for your help!

Warm regards,

Sujay

You should contact the official Apple Support in your country, only they can look into your personal data.

Use this link as a start.

Can you see any Apple Care coverage mentioned for your MacBook, if you open your Apple Account settings on your iPhone and scroll down to the list of your devices, choose your MacBook and tap on Apple Care & Warranty?
