In 2025 apple watch STILL showing driving as sleeping.

I find this same complaint from 2022 and again 2024 ... does apple ever read these posts?

I wear my watch on my left hand and shift with my right. Clearly, I need to have the watch on my right hand -- but that seems as stupid as having to set do not disturb before I drive.

Has anyone found a non-stupid solution?

Yes, Apple has to work on the sleep/nap detection. My Ultra 2 showed the blue nap phase, while sitting in a chair, reading the news paper in this morning.

I wear the watch on my left hand. My left hand does not move much when I drive. When I check the sleep analysis after driving, there is a light blue block of unidentified sleep that accords to the length of time I was driving. Today I drove three hours, had a meeting, and drove three hours in return. The sleep analysis for the day shows my night's sleep, a block where it knew I was awake of about two hours, then a light blue block of undefined sleep of three hours which is my first leg of driving. Finally, after the two hours of the meeting, another band of sleep corresponding to the length of the drive.

I imagine I'm going to have to take the ****** thing off when I drive.
