New mac has said transferring your information during migration for 8 hours.

Migrating from old iMac to new one. Using Migrating assistant everything worked. Took about 11 hours. Then hit continue and the new mac says transferring your information. That screen has been showing for about 7 hours. Is that normal?

Thank you,

iMac (M4)

You have not told us how you connected the old Mac to the New Mac, however if you used Wi-Fi that is likely your problem as that is VERY slow. I would strongly recommend letting the current migration run overnight and if it did not finish by then restart the computer and see if the migration was completed. If it did not complete then I'd wipe the new Mac clean and then using then re-install Mac OS and use the Migration Assistant option following the directions in Setup Assistant and Migration Assistant
