Sort messages on MacOS (or iOS) by size for deletion of attachments

There’s no direct way to sort messages by size in the Messages app on macOS, at least that I’m aware of, or with iOS.

Apple doesn’t offer a sorting based on size feature within the Messages interface.

Something you can do is manage space by going to Settings > General > iPhone Storage > Messages (on iOS) or System Settings > General > Storage > Messages (on macOS). There, you'll see large attachments like photos, videos, and conversations sorted by size.

It’s not as precise as sorting messages themselves, but it helps you find and remove what’s taking up the most space. It's more about storage management than message organization.
