It very well might.
Generally when your Mac thinks it is hot or sick it will spend a LOT of time In kernel_task, running an idle loop to cool down. Your report does not have that specific symptom, but that does NOT mean the battery is no problem.
You have several other messy things that might be contributing to poor performance and overheating:
• By far the easiest way to cause poor performance, instability, overheating and crashing is to install ANY third-party speeder-uppers, Cleaners, Optimizers, or Virus scanners, Bit Torrent, or a VPN that you installed yourself.
• Third-party file Sync-ers such as DropBox, BackBlaze, OneDrive, or GoogleDrive can ruin performance.
