Touch ID stopped working on my MacBook Air

it was working last week and this week it went away I’m in setting and I deleted my finger print and I try to add finger but it says failed unable to complete Touch ID enrollment

Ok, and what have you tried, so far yourself, to resolve this issue so that we don't offer potential solutions that may not have already worked for you? What exact model is your MacBook Air?

For example, have you simply tried rebooting your Mac into Safe Mode to see if Touch ID works in this state?
