unfortunately i cannot purchase Logic Pro through the App Store because it says i should have a macOS 14.4 or later edition. so how can i purchase an older edition of logic compatible with my imac?

It seems that Apple have changed their procedures here

Previously:

A) you could NOT purchase the app with a Mac running an older OS, but you COULD purchase Logic Pro on a Mac running the required macOS (Friend/Store demo Mac etc) logged in temporarily with your Appstore details (log out afterwards)

Then

B) on your Mac, login and download Logic Pro .... the Appstore would offer you the latest version that would run on your Mac.

This does NOT seem to work anymore:

I'd suggest a call to Apple Support to ask them?

Thank you for clarifying CCT. You can confirm 100% that this does not work?

I can confirm that, (with my previously purchased copy of Logic Pro), I have (so far) been unable to download an older compatible version on Catalina or Mojave Macs.

I was also unable to purchase on a Catalina Mac.

Perhaps you can double check yourself?
