MacBook Pro M3 Pro 36gb vs M4 pro 24gb

I am planning to buy a new MacBook for my studies and am not sure which one will be better:

• Macbook Pro M3 Pro, late 2023

11-core cpu

14-core gpu

16-core neural engine

36gb unified memory

or the

• Macbook Pro M4 Pro, 2024

12-core cpu

16-core gpu

16-core neural engine

24gb unified memory

i run quite heavy programs with rendering and 3D-modelling, but I’m not sure if higher cpu and gpu but lower memory, or lower cpu and gpu but higher memory would be better? What difference does it make?

any experiences with the m3 pro vs the m4 pro?
