Top USB C Port on MacBook Pro Randomly Stopped Working

This has been happening since yesterday but the top usb c port on my MacBook Pro has just completely stopped working, there's nothing inside the port that is stopping it from going in, the charger is able to get into the port and snap into place so that's not the issue. For any more further context, the computer is a MacBook Pro 13inch m2 model running macOS Ventura.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 13.7

Hi,

Try to run Apple Diagnostics if it's caused by hardware related issue.

Use Apple Diagnostics to test your Mac – Apple Support (AU)

If it doesn't help, try to start up in Safe mode if your USB-C port works.

Start up your Mac in safe mode – Apple Support (AU)

If it doesn't either, contact Apple Support or take your MacBook Pro to your local retail AppleStore, Genius Bar or Apple Authorized Service Provider to be examined your MacBook Pro USB-C port.

Charge-carrying capacity of random USB-C cable varies widely.

¿are you using the exact same cable that come with the charger?

Standard USB-C cables can carry up to 60 Watts. A premium quality cable might be rated at 100 watts. super-premium cables can carry up to 240 Watts and may support fast-charging.

If you are convinced the port is not working, you get get the genius bar techs to blow it out and examine it with a microscope. No parts used = no charge. But they are crazy-busy, so an appointment is required.
