Apple Music keeps launching and playing by itself on MacBook Air

I've owned this MacBook Air for less than a year. This weekend is the first time I've sat on my porch with my MacBook Air in my lap, not plugged into anything, using the wireless mouse for the first time, everything wireless. And my IMusic just launches and starts all by itself. I tried to undock it. That didn't help. I scroll to "quit", that doesn't help. It quits, then relaunches immediately. The first song on the "recently listened to" is what keeps starting, over and over and over. I scared my neighbors because, of course, the volume was way up. I CANNOT GET IT TO STOP. I have searched blogs, chat groups, and I see this is a very common problem with NO RESOLUTION. So, I finally just let it play in the background with the volume off. I have spent WAY too much of my time trying to figure this out this weekend, when I was hoping to enjoy some leisure writing time. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE help me.
