iphone 12 camera will not focus

My iPhone 12 just started not focusing. Sometimes when I initially start the camera it tries, and then it just stops out of focus. This is only for the 26mm lens; wide angle is clear. What would cause this and how do I fix it? I tried restarting my phone 3 times and removing the case and everything described without a factory reset. It was working fine earlier today which makes absolutely no sense.

As it Reads: "With Cinematic mode, your iPhone camera can record videos with a shallow depth of field and add beautiful focus transitions for a cinema-grade look."
