Facetime Backgrounds for Video Calls
Does Apple provide FaceTime backgrounds? If not, when will Apple update software to include backgrounds for FaceTime other than portrait / background blur?

Seems not. Apple Support's main FaceTime article lists much of what is available.
It only includes the portrait / background blur you mention:

As Apple users, like yourself, in the community, we have no access to Apple's future plans.
Apple itself does not always announce new features ahead of their release.
