Child bypassing Screen Time limits by restarting iPhone

My child has worked out that when he hits his app limits as set in screen time, he can simply turn off the iPhone and turn it on again to remove all app and screen time limits.

Anyone know how to stop this?

Did you follow the directions in this link about setting up parental controls on your kids phone --> Use parental controls on your child's iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

If yes, and all it takes is to power off, then on the phone to bypass screen time settings, then there should be consequences for disobeying you. If I had a kid who disobeyed my explicit orders, their phone wouldn't still be in their hands. But that's between you and your kid.

Thanks, yes all set up as per the instructions.

He asks before he goes on and has shown us how he can reset the app limits. He know we can see exactly how long he is on and what apps he uses.

Permission is not really the point of my request/post. Surely it shouldn’t be that easy to by pass parental controls.

Was wondering if this is a known issue that there is a solve for.
