Unable to log into my iMac due to a locked keyboard

I cannot get my keyboard to work. I can’t log into my iMac.

If you have a newer iMac and an Apple rechargable keyboard..?

Connect the keyboard directly to the iMac using the Apple supplied charging cable.


If you have an older iMac and an Apple AA batterey powered Keyboard..?

Dig out, borrow, buy an inexpensive USB keyboard and use it to login, then reconnect the wireless one.
